About www.UWPBooks.com

UWP Books has a publishing purpose to produce social, anthropological, and ethnographical scholarship, histories that dignify the culturally diverse peoples who make up our society. We also promote the writing of urban histories that give centrality to the places we love. We want to strengthen the voices of the diaspora, though pioneering works that blend the fundamental need for peer-reviewed publications with the intricate interweaving of creativity through which Griots tell stories, be it biographies, cultural heritage, math, social sciences, medical, the environment and visual arts. Our books are well researched and richly illustrated, appealing to general readers as well as academic researchers.

UNIVERSAL WRITE PUBLICATIONS, LLC came about as a basic idea with one purpose: To write. The idea is that it is a Universal Right to Write, and it is with that tenacity, commitment, and deep resolve, that the CEO and publisher created this publication. Founded in 2002, UWP BOOKS has grown into a niche publisher based on the principle of Afrocentricity and African Centered ideology.
