it all started out with invitation of the R&B and Jazz artist, songwriter, producer and composer Rogiers, that introduced her at the Blue Note’s, Late Night Grooves, series. .
Soon she began working with producer Tyrone Bradley as well as co-produce and songwrite. But it was bringing in the seasoned, Keith “the Captain” Gamble on Guitar, in the studio production ( Es Hacie and La Suma), that provided the key element that bridged both the Latin, Rock and R&B sound. The live performances began with the original members of Larry Preston on Drums, Roger Anderson on Keyboard and Keith “the Captain” Gamble on Guitar. However, The band has changed and grown with, Jibrail Nor on Drums, Andrea Green on Guitar, Kenji Tokunaga on Bass, Shanelle Jenkins on Trumpet and Dicter Zapata on Trombone. It has been over 2 years of trial by fire, but Gloria Isaiah and her band Hot Latin Soul have been rockin it out at several venues through out the city of new york. Worked with several different artist and have slowly, begun to find her way identity, sound and fans along the way.

Born in Iringa, Southern highlands of Tanzania, James and his younger brother were raised by a single mother. She was known for being very hardworking and creative as most African women are. She ran a small, local business known as, “mgahawa” in Swahili (which is like a home based restaurant) to meet their basic needs.

James was scouted by a reputable tourist restaurant in Mafinga town in Iringa. After a year of work, he landed the opportunity to go for more culinary training in the big city of Dar es Salaam. From there, he eventually got hired by the embassy of Tanzania to the United Nations and moved to New York to work as the ambassador’s personal chef. During his 7years working for the ambassador, he got to meet and serve dignitaries from all over the world. After his service with the ambassador, he moved on to working in different restaurants in New York, in search to gain culinary experience in West Indies dishes, African American, Soul food and as well as European cuisine. His favorite African dish to make is the “dibi” or grilled lamb originally from West Africa. His favorite Tanzanian dish is chapati (flatbread) and beef or chicken stew. Mr. Sekouba Bolomba is an Ivorian reggae musician. In the tradition of jamaican roots reggae from the 70s, Sekouba combines an eclectic mix of traditional West African rhythms known as Bolomba, using djembe drums and balafons. His potent lyrics, heavy ideas, and delicate voice are laced in his music in four different languages: English, French, Malinke and Bambara. He humbly has graced stages around the globe with generous performances, including Israel, Germany, Switzerland, Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, the United States of America and Canada.
After being enriched into the roots of the Bolomba style, the young Sekouba came alive with the West African sounds of the Mandinka. Sekouba’s desire to sing came naturally but it was never a reality without the musical influence of his brother, Ismael Isaac. Sekouba’s uplifting and heartening lyrics enliven audiences with spiritual liberation and African consciousness. His debut album “I’m So Glad” was self-produced in New York City and arranged by Oscar Ankou. Sekouba’s sophomore album in 2010 “Sejo” was co-produced by Sidney Mills, Grammy award-winning reggae artist and keyboard player for the legendary reggae band Steel Pulse. The album includes outstanding liberal tracks like “Mandela” featuring Bob Marley’s guitarist Junior Marvin from The Wailers. “Mandela” is a sharp and arousing tribute to former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela, and has been well-received by international fans.
Sekouba and his band Bolumba Stylee have decorated the nation with groovy, soulful performances at venues and festivals such as Festival Nuits d’Afrique in Montreal, Canada; Abi Festival in Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Fête de la Musique in Mali; SummerStage in New York City, alongside Israeli artist Idan Raichel; NJPAC SummerStage; New Haven Music Festival; Brooklyn’s International African Arts Festival; S.O.B.’s; Shrine World Music Venue; and many more. Sekouba’s music is inspired by a conglomerate of modern day music, and the ancestral dialogue passed down to him as a descendant of a long line of griots. Sekouba is the youngest brother of Isaac Ismael, the lead singer in Ivory Coast’s best known musical group. He currently lives in New York City and is the Senior Artistic Director for the Go Africa Network 2016 (NYC).

From the south of Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama, Ari has been recognized in her multi-talents. She began writing and rapping in the 4th grade, gradually moving to songs years later. In high school through college she began to self-study vocals in different genres such as R&B, Pop, Rock, Neo Soul, Hip-hop, Oldies, Rap, Jazz, and More. Looking to artist such as Whitney Huston, Lauryn Hill, Chaka Khan, Carrie Underwood, LL Cool J, Frank Sinatra, Tamia, Pink, Floetry, and more she is considered to be an all-around girl. Moving from Alabama to New York for her passion of music and vocals, she began making her way around musical streets. Singing with multiple bands, working on her 1st recording EP, performing in fashion shows, popular restaurants, community events, branding her image to making name for herself and being a songwriter as well in her daily life is just the surface. Being the grinder that she is, she also street performs exposing herself as much as she can to different crowds. She will be performing for the Harlem African Festival 2016 in July as well as Coney Island! Willing and eager to learn, she has a wonderful heart, a beautiful personality, and a great voice.  By highlighting the positive contributions of the vast majority of Nigerians to the American society, OAN successfully convinced the American government and media, to be balanced in their approach of dealing with the Nigerian community. OAN’s first major accomplishment occurred in 1990, when it successfully stopped major banks from denying Nigerians, banking services because of their blanket stereotyping of Nigerian customers as potential fraudsters. Since its formation, OAN has consistently engaged in a vast array of work that impacts every aspect of our community, both in the United States and in Nigeria.
 The O.A.N is the most accomplished non-ethnic based Nigerian organization in the US, and in existence for over 20 years
 The Organization successfully lobbied the New York City Council to recognize Nigeria Independence Day at the City Council Chamber. It has also been chosen by Nigerians in Europe and Canada, as the most trusted conduit through which Nigerians in the Diaspora can channel donations to International relief efforts when needed.pic-1about

The O.A.N. formed the first Nigerian Council of Religious Leaders to foster unity and cooperation among religious organizations and initiated the formation of the Nigerian Lawyers Association in New York. And has sponsored free immigration and tax seminars and workshops for Nigerians and non Nigerians.

Started the annual Nigerian Independence Day Parade in the United States of America, which has grown to be the biggest and largest celebration of Nigeria Independence Day, outside our homeland.
1992
Received its first PROCLAMATION from New York city Council.
1993
Successfully organized the largest Nigerian Demonstration and Rally in New York and Washington D.C. to protest the annulment of June 12, 1993 election results, the Niger Delta oil related — crisis and the unjust execution of Ken Saro Wiwa.
1996
Created the adult and youth sports program, including Soccer League, in which Nigerian clubs and organizations compete for the Nigerian unity Cup. This was designed to foster unity and interaction among Nigerian youth, through sports

Introduced the popular annual “Naija Youth Summer party” for Nigerian youth to network and foster unity.
2006
Established the Education and Career day for Nigerian Youth to obtain information from experts and professionals in various fields and to encourage exchange of academic information and networking.

Formed the Nigerian Independence Day Committee, Inc. (NIDC), to foster collaboration with other Nigerian organizations for the planning of the annual Nigerian day celebration

The only Nigerian organization that was a member of New York City 2012 Olympic Bid.

Tanima Productions Organization, based in the Bronx, New York. The organization has been in establishment for over 30 plus years in teaching the youth and teens a  positive venture in the community. As a performing arts organization, our Tanima instructors are trained and educated in various styles of dance such as salsa on 2, ballet, modeling, street jazz, cultural dance and more. Since 1982, the mission of Tanima Organization is to maintain the youth in our community engaged in cultural activities and too occupy their time by staying off the streets. The Executive Director of Tanima, Ms. Nereida Medina, catapulted different artists careers such as Marc Anthony, Romeo Santos and La India, just to name a few.
