My name is Aisha Jawara. I am the CEO and founder of Aisha Qabila, an African fashion line focused on handmade adjustable head ties. Aisha Qabila was an ideal fashion gig that I came up with during the summer of 2015. Aisha Qabila means Aisha is trying to create something in my narrative language, Soninke. Out of all the diverse modes of women’s clothing, the head tie stood out to me the most hence it screams out the dignity, strength, and pride of women. The unique ways of wearing it without any form of judgment were astonishing. So I thought, why not start a handmade head tie line. I started my line of a fitable head tie with different colors and textures. This is because I want the women to have a product that will build up their self-esteem, sense of beauty, and self-love. You do not need hair to be considered beautiful. I’m starting this fashion line of head ties to increase the awareness of all the ethnic beauty that continues to exist in the diverse world we live in. That being said, this was just an idea that has now become a reality, and I hope you enjoy my products as well as to support my mission for the empowerment of women.

We are two sister’s  that enjoy serving other’s. We went to American Bartending School to learn the art of mixology. Coming from a home where cooking and the art of food was very important  Our father a Chef  of 30 years, that graduated from Culinary Arts school, showed us how to cook and how to make food look pretty. Our mother that went to a baking school herself had her own baking company and showed us how to bake to perfection. Established in 1996, NYC Emergency Management is a coordinating agency for the City of New York. The agency plans and prepares for emergencies, educates the public about preparedness, coordinates emergency response and recovery, and collects and disseminates emergency information.
The agency maintains a disciplined unit of emergency management personnel — including but not limited to: responders, planners, watch commanders, logisticians, community outreach, communications, administrative and support staff — to identify and respond to various hazards.

Public Solicitation Licenses

HRA permits nonprofit organizations, associations and corporations to solicit donations for charitable purposes in New York City.
HRA administers Public Solicitation Licenses for event producers interested in soliciting for services, products, or charities at their event. These solicitations can take place indoors or outdoors. Outdoor solicitations include pledges to a walk-a-thon/bike-a-thon, or door-to-door canvassing with a kit. Indoor solicitations include contributions taken in a public space, or the operation of a thrift shop, rummage sale, book sale, bazaar and sale of tickets for fundraising purposes.
