Welcome To Aisha Qabila

Home of Handmade Headties &                   Accessories

My name is Aisha Jawara. I am the CEO and founder of Aisha Qabila, an African fashion line focused on handmade adjustable head ties. Aisha Qabila was an ideal fashion gig that I came up with during the summer of 2015. Aisha Qabila means Aisha is trying to create something in my narrative language, Soninke. Out of all the diverse modes of women’s clothing, the head tie stood out to me the most hence it screams out the dignity, strength, and pride of women. The unique ways of wearing it without any form of judgment were astonishing. So I thought, why not start a handmade head tie line. I started my line of a fitable head tie with different colors and textures. This is because I want the women to have a product that will build up their self-esteem, sense of beauty, and self-love. You do not need hair to be considered beautiful. I’m starting this fashion line of head ties to increase the awareness of all the ethnic beauty that continues to exist in the diverse world we live in. That being said, this was just an idea that has now become a reality, and I hope you enjoy my products as well as to support my mission for the empowerment of women.

We are two sister’s  that enjoy serving other’s. We went to American Bartending School to learn the art of mixology. Coming from a home where cooking and the art of food was very important  Our father a Chef  of 30 years, that graduated from Culinary Arts school, showed us how to cook and how to make food look pretty. Our mother that went to a baking school herself had her own baking company and showed us how to bake to perfection. We started cooking at holidays events, with the praise from older family member we know that we 482415_279985072135041_40526518_n had something great to offer. Vivere! pronounced (vi-ve-re) meaning: TO LIVE!
Vivere is not only the name of the company but the very premise the company is founded on. In a world where distraction and despair can easily consume your day, we choose to celebrate life and live it on our own terms. This coupled with our love for amazing chocolate has lead us here. We worked with seasoned chocolatiers to develop a line of confections that we are proud to bring to you. It is said that time is the one true luxury and we believe there’s always time for chocolate.
Our artisanal chocolates are handmade using a premium blend of all natural, 70% chocolate and fresh cream ganaches, which are crafted out of a blend of cacao beans from Africa, Central America, and South America.

We again welcome the NYC Office Of Emergency Management (OEM) to the Go Africa Harlem street festival on 7/15/2017.
Established in 1996, NYC Emergency Management is a coordinating agency for the City of New York. The agency plans and prepares for emergencies, educates the public about preparedness, coordinates emergency response and recovery, and collects and disseminates emergency information.
The agency maintains a disciplined unit of emergency management personnel — including but not limited to: responders, planners, watch commanders, logisticians, community outreach, communications, administrative and support staff — to identify and respond to various hazards.
NYC Emergency Management (formerly the Office of Emergency Management or OEM) is undergoing a rebranding process as part of a comprehensive effort to increase the public’s awareness of our presence and role in the city. This rebranding includes phasing out the use of the OEM title, acronym, and logo.

NYC Emergency Management appreciates your comments and suggestions. You may contact us by mail, phone, fax, or email.

The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) we have citizenship applications and related information at the street festival on 7/15/2017.
The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) promotes the well-being of immigrant communities.
In the de Blasio administration, we have prioritized three broad goals:
enhance the economic, civic, and social integration of immigrant New Yorkers; facilitate access to justice for immigrant New Yorkers; and advocate for continued immigration reforms at all levels of government in order to eliminate inequities that impact New York’s immigrant communities.

Dear Visitor,
In his “One New York Rising Together” campaign platform, Mayor Bill de Blasio pledged to make New York City a safe and open community for all who live here, regardless of immigration status.
The work of our office is, at its heart, about inclusion. New York City’s Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs works to ensure that all immigrant New Yorkers are part of the City and have access to justice, and advocates for continued immigration reforms at all levels of government in order to eliminate inequities that impact New York’s immigrant communities. From creating a municipal ID program for all New Yorkers, regardless of immigration status, to launching an immigration legal services program that provides free and safe legal support for every immigrant New Yorker in their neighborhood and in their language, as well as establishing ActionHealthNYC with the aim of creating better immigrant access to health care, our policy initiatives and programs help millions of immigrants build safer, more stable, and more economically viable lives in New York City.
The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs is here to assist and advocate for all immigrant New Yorkers. This is our mission and our promise.
Sincerely,
Nisha Agarwal
