Koleurz (means “a story to tell….derived from the Ibo language …..”akuko ”) is a combination of ethnicities, the languages Ibo (Nigerian), French and English. In 2006, she released her first album signed then to Elegant Records (Indie label), Long Island NewYork, introducing her style (cross-over African-Jazz, Neo-Soul, RnB) and versatility to the world, and she has since been receiving great responses. Koleurz performs either solo or with her 10-piece band, and combines different forms of music with Igbo etc.
With performances at some popular venues (Jacob Javits Center, Westbury Music Center, etc.) and opening for a few artists like Yolanda Adams, McLite (Pantene Pro-v Tour), Wale (RocNation), and Sean Paul, Koleurz is obviously setting herself up for very pleasant affiliations. She also performed in the Funk Master Flex Unsigned Artists CD/DVD, the Lea Greenwood project for Channel 11 (WPIX), the 1st NEA (Nigerian Entertainment Awards (Maryland) and received the “Help Make a Dream Come True” Award from SGIB Magazine Long Island 2007, NPA Awards best female artist 2012 to name a few.
She is also staring in some African movies soon to be released. She is currently working on her 3rd Album soon to be released……

Brooklyn, New York native, Willie Mitchell, a truly multi-talented individual began his love for art and fashion at an early age. Willie began sketching at age four, taught by his older brother, he spent countless hours drawing shapes and figures. ” When I became a teenager, I was inspired by the fashion styles of Josephine Baker, Diana Ross, Grace Jones, Jody Watley & Madonna. I remember how I always loved their look because each of these ladies style seemed original, bold, unique & timeless.” Mitchell’s design aspirations were also influenced by famous fashion designers like (Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia Rykiel, Coco Chanel, Giorgio Armani and the famous illustrator Erté.)
He attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design for two years. Shortly after he started
assisting top design houses such as (Piero Dimitri, Lawrence Stephens, and Fila.) His credits also
include working for (Victoria’s Secret, Liz Claiborne & Francois Hendy.) “The experience of working
for these wonderful company’s helped me immensely and strengthen my ambition of starting my own
business and giving back. “In 1993, Willie’s hard work ethic started paying off when Essence
Magazine featured a ‘Willie Mitchell’ original design for their spring bride’s issue. That same year,
his illustrations were featured alongside top designers in Harriett Cole’s wedding planner, ‘Jumping
The Broom’ also HX Magazine June 2007 issue.’ In addition, several of his fashion illustrations have
